Player Story
Pakistan first took serious note of Aliya Riaz's ability when she struck an unbeaten 156 for Lahore Women in the 2014 National Women's Cricket Championship. Her ODI and T20I debuts came in August 2014 against Australia.
Riaz's top score of 71 in T20Is came against South Africa in May 2019, a match which went onto be tied. She was named Player of the Match for her efforts.
The allrounder who bowls medium pace was especially impressive in the 2018 ICC Women's World Twenty20, averaging 15.16 in the tournament. Riaz was also included in Pakistan's squad for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2020.
