Player Story
Long before opening batswoman Laura Wolvaardt impressed everyone on the global stage, she was selected in the Western Province U-19 girls' team when she was just 11-years-old. Within two years, she made it to their senior side.
Wolvaardt made her ODI debut in early 2016 against England. Just four months later, the then 17-year-old became the youngest South African, male or female, to register an ODI ton, going onto post a match-winning 105 against Ireland.
She was a part of South Africa's squad for the 2018 Women's World T20, also recently named in the squad for the 2020 edition.
